If you`re getting this bug, go outside before killing the big guy.
Select the protagonist, click the conversation icon (extreme left of your buttons); and click it on Jaheira.
She will have nothing to say to you.
But now, wait. She will talk to you soon. This actually resets the romance timer to about 15 seconds or so (I think, anyway [img]smile.gif[/img] ).
