The government has tightened security at airports, but only at the expense of everything else. The borders are wide open, as ports--as you suggest--are also revolving doors. Despite what our beloved leaders might say, the country is not secure, nor can it be made to be secure. When the merde hits the fan, all the plastic sheeting and duct tape in the world won't save you.
