You're right, we let them come out. There will always be idiots, but if you look at when they come out there might be 25-50 of them, but 2,000 protesters. By alowing them to run arround, unpersecuted, it takes away one of the draws to their ranks. That draw being: There are a certain number of people that will do things because they see that a group is surviving inspite of being persecuted, it looks like there is a strength in the group. Purely historicaly speaking the early Church grew and was argueabily(sp?) the strongest durring the Persecution by the Romans. There wasn't many nonbelievers being eaten by Lions. To most Humans there is a certain draw to being part of something that has convictions. (not making a moral judgement on the validity of the convictions, just that convictions are powerful.)
