This is the only source I've found for it so far - he's quoting the Iran Press News, and they in turn quote the Kurdish station Rojeh´heh Lât but my language skills aren't up to checking that one out.

So it could be untrue. But given the track record that particular town has in this area, I wouldn't be at all surprised.
