LOL - some interesting phrasing to the similarities, but not much in the way of parallels really .
The real Gandalf (if I can use that term )was all for united action against Mordor and not at all for pre-emptive strikes. He held in his hands not some spurious claims about ROMD - he held up to the council a hobbit wearing a ROMD. He united the squabbling council into action by giving them indesputable proof whereas your Gandalf failed to do that with his smoke and mirrors show which was really little more than a "trust me" plea. The real Gandalf took action through the security council, and thus was formed the fellowship. The spurious Gandalf took his bat and ball and his stray supporters off home and formed the coalition of the willing.
The true Gandalf didn't stand to gain from the power of Mount Doom - he displayed that such was not his goal when he refused Frodo's offer of the ring. He was motivated by a desire to do good rather than a desire to own Mount Doom or to finish pappy's unfinished business.
So despite the veneer of similarity that has been drawn here, everyone knows that the true Gandalf stands for honesty and truth and goodness and has none of the stains of greed and deception and hidden agendas that are the hallmark of your false Gandalf.
A beter parallel is that your Gandalf took the ring from Frodo thus making him the biggest bully on the playground, and he imposed a terrible peace upon the world.
