I think he has a decent idea for going forward. Not allof his basic assumptions may be correct, but I do find much in there to resemble the truth enough to say that, We do not need to keep troops stationed in western Europe anymore. We may look at deals for basing in Eastern Europe however, it would even be likely that we would get better leasing agreements. The stationing of troops in western europe has outlived it's benefit to the US and according to some they have over stayed their welcome.
Remain friendly but end the alliance and NATO...or at least the US's participation. Trade will benefit both the EU and the US, but I see no benefit to the US in Western Europe from a Military basis.
