It matters little what a mannerism is
supposed to mean, positive or negative, if in application it is deliberately employed in absolute reverse.
Besides, I'm talking about something that didn't happen on these boards, and emphtasis is somewhat difficult to lend...If you go to the trouble of codifying emphasis while posting an insult, let's face it, you're trying too hard.
Both G'Day and Mate have been used against me as insults in the past, in the context so used. If you're going to be sarcastic, better still to be sarcastic in such a fashion that your mannerisms are used sarcastically.
