Nine months is a long time to sit on a crime in progress and DO NOTHING about it. [/QUOTE]Not true. investigation was started officially on 01/19/2004 about alleged (and later proved true) abuses from 1st nov 2003. This thing leaked to the press no later than end April / beginning of may.
Furthermore, Gen Taguba actually had started assembling his team BEFORE 01/19, meaning the actual idea of an investigation was already in the air.
2 1/2 months might be a long time for me and you, but is actually lightning speed for an official inquiry...
