There is no comparision between an armed combatent/'Security consultant' and a civilian oil worker. And mixing up the two is highly insulting to the latter.
One does wonder WHY these civilians have been brought into a warzone anyway. It's not as if they are actually needed.
Iraq is a *well educated* country with plenty of highly skilled truck drivers, engineers, scientists, oil workers. You name it, they have an abundance of them - all of whom are now out of work as a result of the foreign workers. Workers that are being paid a hundred times more than the native workers would have accepted, if only they could have kept their old jobs.
Much of the threats against these foreigners comes from this state of affairs - a situation which is neither helpful to either set of workers, the US military or the US taxpayer.
