It's strangely sad that political partisianship has become so readily available, and socially acceptable, that people of 'opposite sides of the fence' can't even laugh at themselves. It seems like it defeats the purpose of the Comedy Arts Festival in general (e.g. expressivism and the broaching of difficult subjects through humor).
