Scholarship, 'Whites Only,' Roils a Campus

I'm really suprised this issue didn't show up here sooner. I saw this on the news last week and heard the resulting hooplah about it. So I'd like to know what the members here think.

Is it really so wrong to have a scholarship that is designated for "Whites Only"?

And if it is discrimination, then isn't it also discriminatory to have scholarships that are "African/American Only", "Hispanic Only", or any other "{insert group} Only"?

Why is it considered "rascist" if a sholarship or membership is restricted to whites, but considered "progressive" when a scholarship or membership is restricted to any other racial group?
