The article also contained one significant but common error. The decision of the Southern States to secede from the Union was NOT "treasonous"...in fact, the Constitution grants individual states the RIGHT to secede from the Union of they wish to.

Ironically, it was Abraham Lincoln that violated the Constitution by not allowing the Southern States to secede. Don't get me wrong, it was the right decision to make, because the U.S.A. wouldn't even exist now, let alone be the worlds only superpower had he allowed the secession to take place.
