Well, I'd point out that this time I think they got it wrong for the right reasons. Gilligan was attempting to scrutinise the government and Davies supported him on the basis of trust in his journalistic integrity, which may or may not have been correctly placed.

Personally, if Hutton is so sure that Blair acted only on the intelligence he was given then when can we expect an inquiry into why the intelligence he was given was so wrong? The inquiry simply hasn't come to terms with two simple facts: 1. Kelly admitted telling Gilligan he thought the government had sexed up the dossier, and 2. They haven't found any WMDs and the whole of the intelligence reports (if the inquiry is to be believed) stated categorically that they would.

Points I'd hoped would be explained but quite simply aren't.
