I just saw the ad from Club for Growth and it really made me angry. You see I live in Vermont and it's bad enough they are bashing my ex-Governor, but I don't like what they are saying about my State. Now I don't expect my calling them to have any kind of effect on their disgusting advertising style, but I had to let them know that I did not appreciate the lies they were spouting about VT, though the person on the other end of the line said he would pass my comments along. Few people in Vermont eat Sushi, drink lattes, or want expanded government. And many people do drive Volvos, but they are pretty old and probably bought used.

I think I did read the NY Times once, my paper is the Burlington Free Press BTW.

Guess I'm pretty mad!

This is the ad:Here

And here is the text:

"A dignified older couple walks out of a barber shop. An off-screen announcer asks what they think of Howard Dean’s plan to raise taxes on a typical family by $1,900.
"Without hesitation, the husband responds: 'What do I think? Well, I think Howard Dean should take his tax-hiking, government-expanding, latte-drinking, sushi-eating, Volvo-driving, New York Times-reading…'

"His wife continues: '…body piercing, Hollywood-loving, left-wing freak show back to Vermont where it belongs.'"

[EDIT] And I personally have no body-piercings...not that there is anything wrong with that.
