A good question you have arisen, indeed. In real life, civilization doesn't allow us to act as we want to, thus limiting us to neutral and good alignments. Evil stays purely in our mind, our actions have to be at least neutral. But if the real freedom was given to me, I would surely act as a REAL, D&D evil. This is my own opinion although.

You all remember the film "Mad Max II" (I think that is the real name, I watched it only in translation to my own language), and the pack of evil punks hunting those fuel-=holding civils? I associate myself with a member of the pack, not of the community...
