One really interesting thing I heard the other day on a current affairs show (Four Corners for any Australians
) was that the bans on smoking in casinos is having a positive effect on problem gambling. People who would otherwise have kept gambling while smoking have to go outside to smoke and when they're out there, realise what they're doing and leave the casino. Doesn't seem to be decreasing smoking rates though
