But, to think the President, who is intimately involved with economic planning -- in fact posed the major draft that used for the yearly budget -- is not "responsible" in some way for the economy, is ignoring reality. Clinton, for instance, shut the government down demanding they balance a budget and vetoing the spending bill. For that, he will always have my respect.
And, the only thing Newt ever did that was worth comment was evade taxes. One of the worst men in history. Period.
