Heh, figured it out! Dundee's right as always. 'Twas the imprisonment. Damn bastard must've gotten it off right before his death knell. Next go I kept my babarian at a distance and Ring of Gaxx'ed him. Mazzy dealt the death blow (or should I say death zap) with her Gesen Bow. A bloody shame she weren't around to get the xp (she was buried deep beneath the surface of Abeir-Toril). OF course I'm not that stupid. I've brought plenty of Freedom scrolls.
Still that imprisonment freeze game thing must definately be a bug. You can't even reload.
