Well, it's about time! This policy of "bad, bad Cuba" is a ridiculous hand-me-down from Eisenhower's administration. The Cuban Missile Crisis was 41 years ago, Washington--get over it!
I'm not saying that Castro is a good role-model as a national leader (heck, no one is, these days) but this definitely represents a wonderful opportunity to open up really good relations with a close neighbor. Normalizing relations just might be the ticket to seeing Castro either removed or stepping down. [img]graemlins/1ponder.gif[/img]
