I think a lesson to take from this article is war *may* have good consequences when it is all said and done, but the road to those consequences is damning. When considering lending support to a war effort, it must be done by weighing the end result by the path taken and rational for engaging in conflict.
No Duh, I belong to the war as a last resort camp myself.
I don't consider soldiers or servicemen evil at all, but politicians who start war not as a last resort or for self-defense, but for political gains and/or under false pretenses are about as evil as they come(IMO). They unleash suffering that will be consequential for a long time after a conflict is over.
