The american public is so easily (mis)led it's frightening. [/QUOTE] I think there is better than a even chance that they were used during the First Gulf War. I know some of Chemical detection devices went off several times in the days leading up to and during the ground offensive. Now that could have been from the bombings that went on, but we were kinda out in the hinterland. No big populations centers around us.
I think the only reason nothing ever was said about it offically, was because the coalition forces may have felt like they would have had to respond with nuclear weapons. There are an awful lot of guys that came back sick from that war.
