I agree with you, although I wouldn't put it quite so bluntly as you did. Since we did get outselves in we should get ourselves out, but I don't mean a complete abandoning of Iraq. Rather, we should fully and completely take over, thus earning us the strategic oil reserves available there. Not only would this help our own energy position, it would be an invaluable financial asset as we begin selling the oil to the rest of the world. Natuarlly, much of the money should go to rebuilding Iraq and the rest can go to paying for the troops stationed there. With a little tweaking, this idea could be turned into a working reality.
