My next door nieghbor just got back (I live 20 min. north of the American border) from driving down the coast to San Francisco. She said she had never felt more out of place. She had her car spit on because it had Canadian plates on it. They were constantly being fingered as they drove down the highway, they were refused funds while trying to cash a travellers check. On her way back she stopped in at gas station and the attendant looks at her and says "we're not very happy with you folks right now) !!! She was furious by this time so she pays him, looks back at him and says "maybe you shouldn't start wars you cant finish!"

Have any other Canadians run into this while visiting our southern "nieghbors"?
