Unfortunately, it's a green orb that bypasses more or less everything. It's almost like the version cast by everyone's favorite demilich, but it targets your entire party, leaving little to no room to react. I've only killed Drizzt's party once (Yes, even though I've played dozens of times and with evil chars... Not even the CE fighter was so foolish as to attack one of the most well-connected people in the Realms) so I don't remember, but something tells me that after he finishes talking, the controls disappear like in a cutscene. I'm not sure, though.
