When (under what conditions) can you get the Ring of Wizardry? I know that it has to do with Jaheira.

I am waiting to get the ring so that I can finally remove Jaheira from my team and make room for others. I'm not going after her romance (this game) so I'm really only interested in her for her link to the Ring of Wizardry.
