I've just been over to GameBanshee to look at their equipment list for BG, and apart from a couple of axes, most get a THACO bonus. Of course they only list five, so that leaves three - though one was the Throwing Axe. The screenshot says it receives a +2 THACO. Though, that might be part of the patch or upgrade if you reckon that it isn't there Six'.
Five axes, eh? Still, only one pair of hands to use them with - and only one NPC that you'd equip them with. I don't recall any other. Let me know if you're better informed.
