TMPEnc is a great program for splitting up mpeg and vcd files. If you can find it, it's free, but that's if you can find. It's kinda hard to come buy now for obvious reasons. A 2 hour movie will take up just over a gig as an mpeg, which you then need to convert to .vcd file format. Split it with TMPEnc, and burn it to cd with Nero and 2cd's. The image quality isn't up to full dvd standards, but if you wish to create backups of your vhs onto cd this is the free way to do it. Of course the copyright laws my prevent you from doing that as well.
