I'm with Lanthir--what set off this nut? He probably got fired, got a failing grade, lost his girlfriend, or perhaps his medication got changed. 
He does know that each instance of a pipe bomb is a separate offense, doesn't he? Of course, that is if they don't charge him as a "domestic terrorist" under the new Homeland Security rules....
