Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that there should be NO guns. Just the laws should be much much stricter, so that just anybody wouldn't be able to get it.
There should be check-ups on those people that own a gun and also have children to see how they keep guns. If the gun wouldn't be stored properly, propely locked, etc., there should be some kind of penalty. That way gun-owners with children would store their guns properly. Maybe...
