Umm you weren't serious with this post were you?

Owning a gun is no better or worse than owning a hammer or saw.
A gun is an inanimate object, neither "cool" nore malevolent happy or sad. Gun ownership is no different from any other legal hobby in the USA..
Well, there are SOME differences. With a single push of a trigger you can kill someone with a gun. You'd practically have to tie someone down and saw them apart to kill someone with a saw. A hammer isn't too good for instantly killing people either. Plus with a gun you can kill people from far away and then run.

Gun ownership differs from other hobbies such as for example... Collecting stamps, in that you cannot use your collection of stamps to kill. Nor can your kid, if he gets a hold of your stamp collection, use it to kill someone. Unless he bores them to death. (No offense meant to stamp collectors )
Hey Neb I wanted to make another reply to this, Im not really saying you are wrong, just I want to really point out, that is a kid is seriously disturbed enough to want to commit murder, he/she does efinatley NOT need a gun to do it. Not that I was a pyro or anything as a kid, I do know that If I could learn how to make bombs before the internet, Im pretty sure that explosive devices are even easier to learn how to construct now...there are also a whole host of ways in which to make sure someone dies...you do not need guns to do this.

Responsible gun ownership is no more dangerous than any other hobby...it is only dangerous when it is treated irresponsibly.

Oh and NO CHILD should ever be able to easily get a gun...I mean it didnt hurt me or my sisters or brother growing up with guns litterally laying around the house (we lived in a rural area and we hunted for meat)
but I wouldnt tempt fate with my kids.
