Bastet is the correct form. Cat-goddess and local deity of the town Bubastis, her name means 'she of the ointment jar'. She was daughter of the Sun god and a protective aspect of the mother goddess (as opposed to the aggressive lioness-headed Sekhmet). Most of my egyptian gods knowledge came from the Deities and Demigods book from the early 1st edition of AD&D and from StarGate SG1 of course [img]smile.gif[/img] oh and a couple of less than complete mythology books [img]smile.gif[/img]
