She's cursed to change into a serpent from the waist down every Saturday, and has therefore made her husband promise not to visit her on that day. One Saturday though he peeks through the keyhole as she takes her bath, and sees the serpentine tail. Melusine flees from the castle on black wings. She is said to have returned at night to nurse her youngest children, and whenever one of the offspring of her line dies, she is said to fly around the castle tower mourning and wailing. That's the short version anyway

Wow, Mel, Attalus had mentioned that your name was a French witch, but I never knew all of that. I originally thought that it was a variant on Mellisan from ToB, but now I know the true story. Your name I think is great, and of course Cloudbringer. Ziroc, Sazerac, and Chainey the Cold are all good. I'd mention Mouse, but someone would accuse me of sucking up to the mods. Oh, and Talthyr, Aelia, and Neb, my ORT buddies.
