ditto to everything Saz said, I couldn't have said it better myself.

I can really really relate to a lot of what you posted...just two days ago me and an old chum from school were chuckling over the situation my mother put me in by making me befriend a boy that had a crush on me when he and I were both 11 years old...we were great friends but all too soon, he bought me a "friendship ring" and immediately afterward his mother and my mother started making WEDDING PLANS for the two of us.

I took advantage of a chance to change classrooms that year when school started...mainly to get away from him and to figure out how I could get myself out of a mess I never wanted to be in without hurting anyone...he was my friend and I loved his mother dearly.
He, saying I "broke up with him" by changing classrooms STILL HATES ME....after TWENTY-NINE YEARS!!!

I was also the black sheep of the family, our schools and the little town we lived in...I could never dress to please myself and still please everyone else. They wanted me to be something I wasn't...something I refused to do. I took a lot of flack for it but I'll be the first to say that I've enjoyed every minute I've spent being me and would never forgive myself had I spent one day being what everyone else wanted or expected me to be.

You have a good head on your shoulders and you sound to me like you are the most likely of all those that surround you to actually reach your goals, acheive your dreams and have fun doing it. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Never let go of YOU and what you want out of life...all the rest will fall into place...be it to your liking or not, just remember that your own opinion of you is what matters most...never let anyone knock it down a notch or two (or more) because it is not what they want...its not their life.
