Well, I'll begin by saying that I must be the most socially unacceptable person in the state of Oklahoma. For starters, everything that has been declared off-limits and evil has been pursued by me. These things include my kind of music (punk rock ), Dungeons and Dragons, internet relationships of any kind, exceptionally long hair, spiked clothing (my jacket, mainly), and speaking my mind to everyone. Among the beer-guzzling masses that make up the majority of my classmates, none of them can even try to claim interest in anyone outside of the city limits, let alone pledge loyalty to anyone besides themselves and a few of their friends. Also, I'm likley the only one out of the whole group that's set aside a likely goal and profession for myself. While others are obsessed with their unlikely careers in professional sports (they're not that good, I just don't have the heart to tell them), I'm sitting at my desk writing away on my second creation while waiting for word on my first to get back to me.
All my life, I've been told how evil and satanic D&D is, and I guess I've just turned around and laughed at them since I'm the new dungeon master of the first official D&D club in Sallisaw. Works for me though, the only ones who ever told me how evil it was are the ones trying to keep me from doing anything online other than talking with my foolish classmates that want to talk about little more than how hot a girl is (other things to young ladies [thats what they are] that looks, boys ), getting drunk, fighting (I swear if I hear "I'm gonna kick your ass!" one more time at school I'm gonna scream!), and how much they think I'm a Nazi (how many times do I have to bloody say that I'm NOT?!). Obviously, there's a conflict of interest between me and my family, who are the ones telling me about the 'evils of the internet'. I posted about this particular subject before I know, but it outrages me so much how anti-internet my family is! If they just saw how happy it made me I doubt they'd hate it as much, or maybe more.
They don't like me a whole lot, I'm quite sure of that. It seems that they don't approve of many of the choices that I've made in life recently, particularly that of my relationships. Sorry if I'm starting to sound a tad repetetive, but I'm not forcing you to read this and you can quit at any time. The thing I hear most often from my mom about this is that I should take some time to look at the wonderful stock of girls we have around here (heh, more like live stock)(shut up). Perhaps I would have considered that, if I hadn't tried and given up already. All the good ones are either taken or uninterested in me, and the only remaining ones have either the personality or the looks of the Tarrasque. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about, your parents trying to get you to go with someone who they think is nice or would suit you well. It's quite similar to the way things are with me, only that my mom only wants a specific area, not a particualr lady, which is still quite limiting to me! Just because they didn't have such opportunities when they were my age it seems as if they think that I shouldn't be able to utilize them to my advantage.
Well I think I've ranted long enough, this has to be the longest post I've ever made and wouldn't exactly be surprised if it were. Oh, and I'll tell you guys if anything ever comes of my first creation.

Seph, I know it's majorly hard going through what you're going through, but trust me when I tell you that it won't last forever. You have vision and a future, and never lose that nor give up what you are, for you are truly special. One of these days you'll be able to escape Sallisaw and find a place for yourself in the world. It majorly sucks that your family does not support you in your choices, but that's the way things work out sometimes. Certainly not fair. What you've got to do is find your support group elsewhere; online, among your other friends, wherever you can.
Just know that we care about you a LOT, and we fully support what you are doing with your writing. I for one pray for your success. Keep striving, man, and know there are many of us who believe in you and what you're doing.
Cheers and blessings,
-Sazerac
