I went to Basic Training at 192 lbs (I'm 6'3") and come out of Basic at 167 lbs. I ate everything they put in front of me too. Remember, no matter how bad it is, don't lose your temper. They do all of this for a reason. They are all pros and know exactly what they are doing. You will find no better soldiers than your Drill Sergeants. They really do care about you and your training. They want you to be the best and that's why they will push you so hard. Here is another thing to think about when you are going through tough training. The skills you learn during Basic Training are the basis for the rest of the training you will recieve throughout your military life. Also one day those individual skills your learn there, may save your life. Just a word to pass on.[/QUOTE]I've also found that the training in BASIC has been a great foundation in the whole of my professional career, it teaches you patience, discipline, how to function while under extreme stree and so many other useful things. Every company I have ever worked for loved to get ex-military techs, because of their Can-Do attitude and their ability to function with little or no supervision.
