Magic Resistance protects from spells causing direct damage. Melfs Minute Meteor and Enchanted weapon both create weapons to use, but the spells themselves don`t cause any damage. Note that the damage can be in ANY form, so yes slow causes "damage". Magic DAMAGE Resistance is slightly different, in that it only protects against Physical Damage, ie. HP loss from any magical source; thus magic DAMAGE resistance *does* affect damage caused by enchanted weapons, but only the extra damage they cause in excess of their normal variety [img]smile.gif[/img]
