I don't know if you remember my old signature quote, "The supreme irony of life is that no one makes it out alive."

I read that in Job: A Comedy Of Justice by Robert A. Heinlein and found the quote very funny. It's so true.

However, I don't think life "sucks." Sure there are highs and lows, but I just try to make it through each day without any regrets. And for the most part I succeed. Sure, there are times when I wish I had done things differently, but I try to do right and assure myself that that is all that I can do.

And when things get really hectic, I just stop and remind myself that I need a time out. Last night I really wanted to just bury myself in a game of Icewind Dale. My daughter called for me from the basement where she was playing. I hit pause, and went downstairs to do puzzles for about a fifteen minutes or so. I resumed my game later.

So I guess I just try to keep my priorities in line. That way I can feel confident that I have lived my life to the fullest.
