Actually, your Turn Undead should have worked perfectly well--it sounds to me like you left their AI on, so they started flinging rocks instead of chanting. Make sure you turn your Party AI off before you need somebody to Turn Undead. You actually don't need Level 20 to kick ass with Turn Undead: Level 18 is enough to destroy Liches in the first round, and you're only facing Wraiths here.

For this fight, you start off in a really bad position: Try taking everyone that you don't want to get involved in the fight (like Imoen or whatever) and turn them Invisible.
