But I still recognised most of the stuff in that list. Is some of that in the A level Further Maths syllabus? I am assuming you did Further Maths as otherwise Engineering is just plain suicidal.
Hmm I did Pure Maths, which is advanced maths without the mechanics part at A level. So it's in between normal Maths A level and Further Maths and we didn't cover any of the things on that list, althoug much of the stuff I did in the first year was revision for me...the 2nd year is mostly new stuff. You're right, it IS suicidal, I'm killing myself learning all this stuff....root locus, nyquist etc...that was in an exam which I've just finished...didn't go too badly thanks for asking

the Laplace etc. will be in Engineering maths exam next Tuesday....I think I've got a pretty good grasp of it....
