Arledrian, that was a VERY wellwritten post, my hat's off to you! Although I cannot speak for Lioness I do know that I would have felt at least slightly uncomfortable under all these posts. I really don't see what all the fuss is about. Lioness never struck me as the sort of girl that thrives on praise and flattery, so I don't see why all of this was necessary. I was glad that at least some people were polite and sincere in their compliments to her, because some of the others, while certainly not as crude as Istaron's comment, were definitely equally uncalled for. IMHO of course.
Anyway, to go back to the original purpose of this thread: glad to finally put a face to your name, Lioness, it was great to see what you really look like! I hope that still more people will follow.
I squirm with glee upon hearing comments on my facade. I enjoy the catcalls, wolf whistles, lip smacking noises, thigh slaps, and gesticulations. I go fishing for compliments constantly because of my shallow nature.
Mel, I agree!! Like I said so many other times, I think it takes a degree of courage to reveal your face to an online community. It hurts when someone degrades or insults you especially when you don't have a clue what they look like. In real life, you can insult them back. I learned so much in 8th grade I'd like to share with you. When they call you ugly, that's when you kick them. When they talk about your mom, you kick them again. When they mention that you are malodorous and repugnantly hirsute, you compliment them on their word usage and then...you kick them.
Edited because my brain longs for intellectual stimulation while my fingers long for Cheetos.
