I think that if too many people complain, or if you have a gut feeling that it may be inappropriate, then better safe than sorry.
I believe Memnoch stated that once; that if you feel it is wrong, you are probably right.

If you think that the jokes are ok, then you are entitled to leave them,...but do not be offended nor surprised if a moderator (that has controlling power on this forum, unlike myself), deletes it for you.
