if you're looking for something stable, you could do with something like
PHPWebhosting, for example... That's about 10 dollars a month. There are perhaps better offers around, or even free servers, but sooner or later they get into trouble with too many people interested in getting an account. And whatever you do, don't take Hypermart. The server was completely free, very fast and extremely stable, but I have seen them delete accounts for no apparent reasons at all. A webmaster got a warning that he had 48 hours to make a backup of his board because he was violating some rule that wasn't making any sense, and 10 minutes (!) after the e-mail was sent, his board was deleted... Pretty cruel.
