Turning his attention back to the man to hear out his case...Larry was attacked by Isabeau as she began pecking at him. Looking around at her, he finally noticed the letter she wore on her leg. Reading it aloud, he read:
Larry,
Forget all that has happened to us after our encounter in Spree's palace.
We shall always be good friends, but you no longer bear the burden of protecting Kaz; you have done more than enough for her.
Larry's hands began to tremble...looking back at the stranger, since Spree and Deiter were on the other end of the bar, Larry began to nervously ask...
"B---but what could she mean by this? SHe has said two different things...#1 is to forget about our relationship and that she only wants to be friends...and #2 is that I am relenquished of my duty to Kaz...wh--what is happening?
Larry could feel the room start to spin, and every noise in the tavern seemed amplified to pain at his ears...
