it doesnt matter if she had died or not. It seems like your romance with jaheira is dead but with aeria is going good. Plus, if both were alive you would have to choose one or the other eventuly, you cannot have 2 romances, youll have to pick one. dont worry about aeria having "nothign to say" to you, that happens a lot it just means it isnt time yet for the next dialogue to come up.
