Hmmm. Favorite actor/actress...
Well, I like the older movies, too, btw. Mostly John Wayne and Maureen O'hara movies, but also Oklahoma, Auntie Mame, South Pacific...
I have two favorite actors at this time. John Wayne and Sean Connery. I haven't seen a single movie with either one of them that I wasn't impressed with (except maybe Entrapment w/Connery). I know neither one was/is perfect in r/l, but John Wayne was always reported to be very nice and I know someone who has met 'Mr. Bond' and says he's a great guy.
As far as actresses...probably Sandra Bullock and Geena Davis. I don't know why exactly. Again, there's hardly a movie either one of them has made that I didn't like. Geena is a card-carrying member of Mensa which endears her to me. I'm a genius myself and, therefore, like to see us 'nerds' make good. She also, from what little I've heard of her personal life, seems to be a genuinely sincere and good person. I've recently learned that Ms. Bullock is taking a sabbatical from acting for marathon training. Her mother ran in marathons and it's something she wants to do, so she's doing it! I LOVE that attitude. Plus, she has said that she doesn't need a man in her life to define who she is and refuses to change who she is to please someone else. I admire that (so long as the way she is isn't bad).
