It's a fair/festival where the hosts and any of the guests who wish to dress up Medieval/Rennaissance style and have loads of fun. I don't know if they all do the same things, but the one here in Georgia has lots of vendors selling clothing; swords and armor; herbs, spices and perfumes, and of course great food and beverages! They have jousting and, I think, a bit of fencing. They also have 'lusty wenches' who run around a kiss the men with this HORRID red lipstick!!! It's hilarious and fun.
They also have/do much more, but I can't remember it all as it's been a couple of years since I've been.
