I also have my 'darker side' too...Understand, this was written after reading three very intense horror novels.
It floats along on mist and fog.
Here it comes.
Better run!
It stalks you on silent wings.
A shriek in the night.
Screams of fright!
It creeps and crawls with ancient need.
You must flee
for it will feed!
It comes for you on padded feet.
A dire plight.
Desperate flight!
Feel it slither on your skin?
Be very still
or it may win!
Now it's choking off your air!
Try to fight
with all your might!
Say your prayer,
hold your breath.
This is it.
This is Death!
Morbid, I know. Some are worse! Some are depressing, some are religious in nature. Some are about friendship, love or lost love. I ran pretty much the whole gambit!
