The horror! Say it ain't so!
Seriously though, questions related to levelling up is written in the manual, and there is also an in-game tutorial for those who want to know how to play the game.[/QUOTE]True enough but some people dont read manuals. I dont. Well, I do the background sections but forget the mechanics. In any case weapon proficiencies per level are NOT covered in the manual, neither are tables for THACO.
for proficincies - and feel free to correct me :
warriors - one every three levels
clerics - one every four levels
theives - one every six levels
mages - one every nine levels
kits get profs based on their parent class. multi classes get the best of their classes.
various classes get special abilites at certain level - monks get quivering palm at level 15, paladins get various innate cleric spells, and so on. magic-users get spells based on the table at the back.
You dont really need to know this stuff though, the game handles all the numbers and *supposedly* never makes a mistake.
