You actually have both, the Psionic that comes with different specialisations, like mind, ego and such for focusing their powers are much like wizards. The Psionic warrior is a mix between psionic and fighter.
They have some Prestige classes that are really cool! Like the Slayer, a hunter of Illithids, the meta mid, a really powerful Psionic, Psiblades, and some others..
