You will need WinZip. If you don't have it you can download a free copy from many sites.
I assume you're not too familiar with WinZip. OK, after you donwload & install WinZip, click on the Merchants patch. Extract all the files to a convenient place, then cut & paste the extracted files to your BG2\override folder. That's all there is to it.
